This session will serve as an introductory view of social media / online tools explaining why social media is vital to HCMR and how to get started
- Webinar 2 on June 13: Social Media – How to Manage, Listen and Analyze Social Media
Tutorial reviewing several management portals/platforms (free or paid) and show how to set up a social media management program. Presenters can be from manufacturer, HCMR vendor or consumer research fields.
- Webinar 3 on July 18: Social Media in the HCMR Industry (Case Studies)

- Webinar 4 on Aug 15: Social Media - HCMR Regulatory Considerations
A panel discussion with three speakers sharing best practices and regulatory compliance considerations within the context of social media
This webinar series will provide client and consultant members a comprehensive view of social media from the perspective of the healthcare marketing research (HCMR) industry and a little taste from consumer research. We will also accept submissions that expand or enhance the agenda above. While discussion of proprietary technology is permitted, speakers and presentations will be selected on the broad applicability of their content to the healthcare marketing research industry.
Each webinar will consist of one to three individual presentations followed by questions from the audience. Total length of session will be 60 minutes (45 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of Q&A). Speakers are being requested for Webinars 2, 3 and 4. Participation in multiple webinars is permitted. Proposals that incorporate manufacturer speakers are preferred.
Follow these detailed guidelines to create your submissions and explain in as much detail as possible how your proposed session will lead members to better understand and use social media. In order to be considered, your submission must include all of the following:
- Completed submission form
- Description of the topic/content (1,000 word maximum) to include:
a. Learning objectives and learner outcomes and three key take-aways for presentation
b. Please do not include company, brands or speaker names in the topic description. Submissions are blinded to eliminate bias during committee review.
- Brief abstract for promotional materials (250 word maximum)
- Brief presenter biography (80 word maximum) and photo in jpg format
The 2012 Social Media Webinar Series Process Timeline:
- All proposal submissions received – February 10, 2012
- Notification of Committee selections – week of February 27, 2012
- Initial slides due for Committee review – two weeks prior to webinar
- Practice session / rehearsal – one week prior to webinar
- Final slides due – 3 business days prior to webinar
General Requirements for All PMRG Content:
Presenters are strictly prohibited from “selling from the platform.” Those who do will not be invited back. Speakers should not use any type of proprietary brand name for research techniques or analytic methods that can be described in a generic way. Sessions should be relevant to the audience, energetic, engaging, and allow for audience participation.
The inclusion of a presentation in a PMRG webinar is based on the contents of the proposal submission and the presenters named at the time of submission. Any subsequent changes in speakers or content must be conveyed to the Webinar Committee. In these circumstances, the Webinar Committee reserves the right to reassess the suitability for the PMRG webinar. Acceptance of your proposal assumes that the presentation has not been, and will not be, presented prior to the PMRG webinar for which it has been accepted.
