Succeed as a thought-leader by presenting a PMRG-sponsored webinar!

The PMRG Education Webinar Subcommittee is issuing a call for webinars now through April 2, 2010.  The series will be offered this spring addressing one of the most popular topics from last fall’s member survey – Understanding and Surviving the Regulatory Environment. While the specifics of the series will depend on the range of topics and quality of webinars submitted, we can imagine at least the following:

  1. How do the different European and emerging market health systems actually work?  What are the key processes and organizations the drive approval, avail ability, and pricing of new drugs in each market?
  2. How will the moving target that is US healthcare reform affect our industry?
  3. What is the current and likely future state of privacy regulation, how do these rules differ between the US and ex-US, and how do these laws affect our work?
  4. How will the CMS influence the biopharma industry moving forward?
  5. How do companies pursue commercial goals in today's regulatory environment?

Each webinar will be scheduled for one hour, 12-1 EDT, and should allow about 15 minutes total for introductions, Q&A and wrap-up.  The webinar subcommittee will work with presenters to ensure effective flow and implementation for your session.

This is a challenging topic that increases in importance to PMRG’s membership with each year’s survey.  Please consider this unique opportunity to succeed as a thought leader while helping our community make sense of the regulatory environment!

Requirements for Submission:

If you would like to be considered as a presenter for a PMRG-sponsored webinar, submit a proposal on Understanding and Surviving the Regulatory Environment that follows the guidelines below. Proposals must be received, electronically, through webinars@pmrg.org on or before April 2. Proposals will not be accepted without a completed submission form.

In order to be considered, your submission must include all of the following:
  • Ttitle of the Session

  • Session must not exceed 45-50 minutes in prepared material

  • Topic selection (see list on submssion form)

  • A description of the topic/content (1,000 word maximum)

  • Learning objectives and learner outcomes included in the description

  • A brief abstract for promotional materials

  • Detail around the methodology, if applicable.  While we don't want you to reveal proprietary information, we do want enough detail so that you aren't discussing "black box" methodologies.

  • On a seperate page submitted with your proposal, include name, title, company and brief biography of speaker(s) (less than 80 words per person).  If you are selected, this information will be used for introducing you at the start of the webinar.

You may not “sell from the platform.” Those who do will not be invited back. Do not use any type of proprietary brand name for techniques or analytic methods that can otherwise be described in a generic way. Sessions should be relevant, energetic, and engaging.

Presenting a PMRG webinar is based on the contents of the proposal submission, and the presenters named at the time of submission. Any subsequent changes in speakers or content must be conveyed to the Education Committee. If you change something, we reserve the right to reassess the suitability for the PMRG webinar.
