Do you remember the first PMRG Conference you attended?
Were you nervous about not knowing anybody?
Scared to walk into the Welcome Cocktail reception alone?
Did everybody look like they knew everybody else but YOU??
Well – this is your chance to help a new member/ first time attendee reduce that same anxiety. Be a NEW MEMBER GUIDE!
Here’s all that you have to do to be a NEW MEMBER GUIDE:
- Call your Newbie(s) before the Conference to get acquainted/decide when to meet/answer any questions.
- Once at the conference, meet your Newbie at Newbie/Guide Central - PMRG Hospitality Desk, outside the New Member Cocktail Reception, or at a designated meeting place.
- Attend New Member/First Time Attendee Reception one hour prior to the Welcome Cocktail Reception.
- Be a resource for the new member/first time attendee(s) during the Conference.
In addition to helping out a new member and PMRG, you will be helping out yourself. Only Newbies, Guides, and PMRG Leaders will be allowed to attend the New Member Cocktail Reception. You will undoubtedly find that helping a Newbie to network will provide you with additional networking opportunities yourself! If you are interested, just check the appropriate box during registration. We will contact you a few weeks prior to the meeting to notify you of your assigned new members.
New Members
If you are new to the PMRG, the variety of conference offerings can be overwhelming. To ensure you get the most from you conference experience, a New Member Guide will be assigned to you a few weeks in advance of the meeting. The New Member Guide will be your resource during the meeting. You can also learn about other new member experiences or post a question in the Online Community's ("OC") New Member Group. If you have not connected with your guide, please contact Stephanie Reynders or ask one of the PMRG Hospitality Staff for assistance when you arrive.

Important! Notice of Video/Audio Recording and Photography
Some presentations will be video or audio recorded for future playback. Photographs may also be taken during the conference. By registering for this event, you acknowledge this notice and if your image or voice is recorded, you give permission to PMRG to use it for PMRG's organizational purposes. PMRG will not sell or commercialize any such recording or image. In the event you cannot agree to be recorded or photgraphed, please notify Heidi Boyle immediately. We will have space at the event where the participant's faces will not be seen by any cameras and/or a period of time where sound recordings may be turned off during questions.
