In the age of impersonal e-mails and information overload, we all yearn for a personal connection with like-minded individuals. It is not enough to read about what happens in our industry, we want to be a part of it.  The most important benefit of membership in the PMRG is that you belong to a community of healthcare marketing researchers and marketing professionals who share your common interests and goals.  PMRG membership enhances the ability of our members to:

  • Access cutting-edge information that supports professional development
  • Build the leadership skills necessary to translate functional excellence into pivotal roles in business decision-making
  • Initiate dialogs that provide networking opportunities and unstructured learning

PMRG membership also gives you the ability and visibility to influence the industry by offering multiple ways to connect with peers and stay current on healthcare marketing research issues.  Click here for ways to optimize your PMRG membership.

To qualify for PMRG membership, you need only to:

(a) be an individual who is presently or was formerly an employee of a manufacturer of pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or other healthcare products, a marketing research company that does marketing research for such manufacturers, or a vendor that provides related support services to either of the foregoing, and

(b) pay the Annual membership dues assessed by the Board of Directors.

Term and Dues

PMRG membership is individual and portable. You will continue to be a member of the organization as long as you remain in the sector and pay your dues, regardless of which company employs you or if you become unemployed.

Membership in PMRG extends from January 1 to December 31 of each calendar year. There is no prorating and the $150 dues are the same regardless of when the person joins.

Contributions or gifts to PMRG are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes. However, they may be tax deductible as ordinary business expenses subject to restrictions imposed as a result of PMRG's lobbying activities. PMRG estimates that the non-deductible portion of your dues in 2010 allocable to lobbying will be 100%.

Making the Most of Your PMRG Membership

Once you have Become a Member, here are some of the ways to optimize your PMRG experience: 

  • Volunteer on a committee - Email Stephanie Reynders and join a committee. It's a great way to get to know new people.
  • Visit PMRG's Online Community - Go to the PMRG OC to set up your extended profile.  Then, discover its robust networking capabilities to help you identify resources and/or capabilities specific to your needs.  Last, join/initiate a discussion, blog or wiki topic that interest you.
  • RSVP for the next networking event - Networking events are complimentary for PMRG members.  View upcoming events. Registration links are posted on the home page.
  • Access cutting edge information - Our presentation library is comprised of video archived sessions and slide decks from past conferences and PMRG webinars.   The PMRG Wiki is a living resource of terminology and best practices specific to healthcare marketing research.
  • Nominate a colleague for an award - View information on the awards given out at the Annual Awards' Ceremony and Dinner, held at The PMRG Institute each year. 
  • Search our member directory View the directory.
  • Submit a proposal to speak at the next conference or a PMRG-sponsored Webinar - Call for papers information is posted on the home page immediately following the Annual National Conference and The PMRG Institute for the next conference. Submission guidelines are always posted for PMRG Webinars.
  • Enjoy member-only rates when attending a conference - View a listing of our upcoming events. Registration links are posted on the home page. 
  • Enjoy discounts on industry publications - View our publications page or a list of our media and education partners.
  • Become a conference sponsor - Increase your company's exposure through conference sponsorship.  Links are posted on the home page. 
  • Exhibit at the Annual National Conference - Three booth packages are available.  Registration links are posted on the home page. 
  • Join the PMRG LinkedIn group - Elevate the prestige of your participation by proudly displaying the PMRG logo on your personal LinkedIn profile.
  • Research new career opportunities Our job and resume banks aid your search for job opportunities and allow you to post jobs.
